2nd Annual Nitto Tire NMRA / NMCA Lone Star Shootout...Anyone Attending?
Just trying to get some LS people going and competing in the event. I'm not sure of the details for winners but I'm sure there will be winners in each class. I started a thread wondering what everyone thought about the LSX Shootout moving to Texas and people pretty much shot me down. One of the moderators (REDGAR) told me about NMCA putting on a race in Houston. He said that this would be our chance to get it moved down here. A big turnout would be awesome. So tell your friends, take off work, and make sure that you are there. I am going to email them and see if they could give a flyer for extra support. I think Texas is the hot spot for racing and fast cars. (Excluding the People's Republic of California ). Give me your input. Here are the threads.

Okay NMCA has just announced that they will be running the Late Model EFI class at this event. This perfect because this class is just like the LSX Shootout Rumble class. It is mixed index and if you have an ls based car, you likely fit the class.
While this is not the LSX Shootout, it falls right into your lap to make a case and show how big the LS community is in Texas.
Who knows what will happen next yet but did you hear Gateway announced today that they will not have the three NASCAR races starting next year because they are evaluating the financial feasibility of racing there.
If you guys have good showing in Late Model EFI, and they continue to go to Texas, again, who knows.
Here is the link to the announcement

If you have questions about Late Model EFI, I run in the class and would be happy to answer them.
Again, I am not an NMCA employee so please don't read any more into what I am saying, I am just an LSX racing enthusiast.

I'll be there running True Street and brackets. Hope to have my rear control arm relocation brackets installed this week. They arrived today. I sent my harness out for recert. Tech. almost wouldn't let me race at super Chevy. They are 4 years out of date!

They have a regular electonics and no e class for the bracket racing. Its a dial in class where you try to run your number and your opponent tries to run theirs, with a handicap start as needed. I think True Street is the index class, you have 3 passes to run closest to your index. Then they take the winners of their index and they race each other with a handi cap start.
