Default Well, it looks like I'm picking up an 01 Lexus IS300 tomorrow, thoughts?

Well the TA and are are parting ways at the beginning of August. So I began looking for a replacement car, I first thought another fbody. But I think I'm over the fbody phase. I've always liked IS300s, so I started looking. I looked at a couple, but they weren't very clean. I found one, in which I talked down to $7100. It has 103k but supposedly the guy has taken care of it. The timing belt has been changed. The only issue I have, is the color. I've been on a few Lexus forums and it seems as though its a pretty rare color. But I'm still a little hesitant. What are your opinions?

This is what you need to do, best of both worlds.

I have always liked the IS300's ... I think the color will grow on you too. Not bad at all .... but the real question is why are you getting rid of the fbody? Ive always liked your T/A!!

Love my IS300. Matts build is definitely unique and he's currently making a LS1 swap kit. Motors are pretty much bullet proof, car drives great (uses the Supra Frame), comfort is great for road, I could on and on about this car. Just take your time to find a nice or check out the myis forum.

Not a bad choice Patrick.

However, you should only be allowed to drive it and put gas in it. Otherwise you cannot touch it. You will not be the only one relieved to see the T/A drive off.

I dunno. I don't think it would look good with TT2's on it.

Yup, I think everyone on AFB will be relieved.

Also, the guy backed out at about 10pm last night. I'm ok though, that orange would have been tough to live with.

Yep, had to give you a hard time.

My wife loves her Lexus. Can't pry her out of it. That's why I sold the Z28 Convertible... she completely stopped driving it once she got the Lexus.

Good luck on the car search.
