Cam time, MS3?

Cam time, MS3?
I figure it's time and I would like to go with the MS3. I will be running this on pretty much a stock car but will probably add headers and a cut out during the install. Anyone have any opinions on this and what power I will put down?
Does Gforce sell cam kits? What valvesprings and pushrods do I need? The car is just going to be sitting for the next few weeks so I figured I might as well. Does anyone have an MS3 in the Pearland area so I can hear it?

I saw SLV WS6's car a while back and thought it sounded amazing plus it's a nice size cam, I am afraid of going too small and don't want to have to swap it again later on once I add other things.
I am open to anything though, Torquer V3, G5X3 etc.. I love the wicked lope and don't mind sacrificing some drivability since my route to school is pretty straightforward.

Get some Patriot Duals, .650 lift. You're going to need either new ARP bolts or studs, and GM MLS head gaskets. New spark plugs and wires, NGK TR55s. And now that you you're there, might as well replace the oil pump and timing chain.
MS3s are nice cams, I like them. If I'd switch to another cam it'd be a MS3.

The MS3 is a good top-end performer that can put out pretty decent peak power.
There are a lot of options when looking at a cam and you have to decide if you want more useable power on the street or if it'll see a lot of track time, or something in between.
You can get a nasty sounding cam without having huge duration also. It's all about overlap. I'm not saying that you shouldn't get a big duration cam...just nothing that fact sicne you mentioned liking the sound of the cam.
FWIW, a friend of mine had the MS3 and took it out because he didnt care for the street manners of it and got a custom grind from LMR I think.

It will be mainly a street car that will see the track once in a blue moon, actually I have never taken it.
I love the sound of this car but even though a lot of cars have the same cam, they don't sound the same?

id go with a customer grind from pat G, i have a buddy who has a custom cam from him with and it made 408rwhp with an STALLED AUTO on stock heads and intake, with a
g-force tune of course
but as red281gt said you dont need a huge cam to be fast, dont just look at peak numbers, all to often people forget about power under the curve
Here's how mine used to sound

^what he said.
on stock heads i would go no further than a torquer v2. if u read in the tech section an ls6 intake will lop off air flow somewhere around 265 cfm. so why put a top end cam under it? to really utilize an ms3 you would need a good set of heads and a ported FAST. otherwise it will be a pig down low.
also picking a cam for SOUND is completely *** backwards.

trex cam is old tech ****, there are now smaller cams that make just a much peak power but also have a better powerband all round. trex is a good proven cam but not needed in all cases.

they pull like crazy down low. and they have more top end then you'd think. mine keeps pulling all the way to 6500.
also there are newer lobes out there, LSK, EPS etc etc.

Haven't drove one but have ran some, sure small cams can be quick, I'm not saying there not, he asked for opinions and I threw the trex out there. I love mine and don't regret getting it, that's all.
