Sucks. I know it needed to happen for this franchise to start rebuilding, but it's hard to believe. If Drayton weren't such a dumb ****, we wouldn't have been in this situation to begin with.
At least those guys will finally get the national media spotlight they have deserved.
The Astros as we fans have known it for the past several years are no more.

sounds awesome !!!!!
now if we can just bamboozle some retard into thinking that Carlos Lee is worth 3 ant eater *****, we would have successfully blow this team up.
i like where this is going becauise the product that Uncle Drayton is putting on the field makes me SICK !!!!!!
looks like a bunch of farmers and accountants swingin the bat. one jackass hitting over .300.
we got a a guy that looks like he has sickle cell and making as much money as a manager at HEB who is currently leading your team with only 15 HR's.
keep Bourn, keep Pence, keep Happ, keep Meyers and develop our new 1st baseman Wallace. make a few moves this offseason and start over.
Astros are painful to watch and they NEEDED to shake up this roster.

i wish Berkman and Oswalt nothing less than the best. they are great players still but their time has "run out" here in Houston.
i don't hate them one bit. i see Berkman and Oswalt succeeding with their new teams.
one question, what the hell are the yankees going after Puma for !?!? what are they doing with Texiera !?!?

They just need to regroup and concentrate on hitting. Big hitters fill the seats and win games. Pitching is important but if you can't hit the ball you can't score. Chris Johnson is the only person batting over .300 that is a stater, and this is his first year in the majors. The meat of your line up has to be consistent. You just can't have that in winning programs, I don't care how good your pitchers are. Why they traded Oswalt for another pitcher I have no idea. They could have done alot better trade. I have never thought pitching was a problem in Houston.
As for Carlos Lee, he has been a waste since he was picked up.
At least it looks like Nolan got the Rangers back on track.
I still think that once Bags, and Biggio retire, all leadership left that team.

how would you call averaging over .300 and @ 105 RBI a year a waste !?!?
before this year, Carlos has been automatic - RBI machine to say the least.
well, maybe not "machine", but he's consistently gotten over the 100+ RBI mark for his career.
we need to unload him too.

he would have given his left nut to have at least a run in Houston.
Oswalt has the lowest ERA with the lowest run support in the league.
after about the 10th game i told my co worker that Oswalt was going to be 8-16 with a 3.20 ERA and @ 5th in strikeouts.
it's a damn shame.

I like the new guy, Happ. He looked good last night.
It's too bad about Berkman having to go but we need the money and maybe this will be good for him personally. I think I might have rather seen the Rangers pick him up, but we can't have everything. Now they have the Rangers best former 1B and ours.

and yes, this is a flop of a season of epic proportions for a 19M guy that should have close to 70RBI and hitting .300-310 right now.
