Default Texas LT1 brings home the win once again. LTX Shootout

Had a blast at this years shootout in BG. Was able to win Outlaw but at a price. Did two huge wheel stands and had to band-aide the car back to life to get to eliminations. After taking power away to keep it down it went 9.11 @ 150.58 mph for quickest qualifying and took the win against Taner Bosnali with a 9.22

Ended up breaking the windshield, demolishing the SYA bars, damaged the headers, broke the cooling fans off the radiator, damaged the steering rack which upset the alignment, bumper cover, .....etc. After taking power away and aligning the car in the pits with a tape measure we were able to get the car down the track. Big props to Madman for the advice.

Congrats Tony. Never had the chance to meet you, but Moe has said some very nice things about you while he tuned mine. Sorry to hear about the car. Way to represent the LT1's.

holy ****, looks like the sya bars didn't hold up to their name, well maybe a little but that was a violent wheel stand.

From what Tony said the SYA bars did what they're supposed to do - protect the oil pan. Wish we could save the whole car, but that's beyond even our power

Bad *** T, you've been wanting these numbers since 2003, great to see you reaching your goals. For any one that has never seen the car in person, it is absolutely show quality, hence why it's been on the cover of magazines. Great to see Tanner running his car as well, another super clean 8 second nitrous huffing LT1. It's awesome you can take power away and the car still goes bottom 9s, be cool to see it set on kill mode with both kits! But hey man, the converter isn't leaving sluggish any more, it's leavin on the bumper son!

They sure did.. The damage would have been worse if they were not there to take the grunt of the impact... Tell Madman we said thanks for the tips on getting the car to settle down.
