Default Forgot to take defensive driving... now what?

I got a speeding ticket in pearland a while back, and decided to take defensive driving. Well it slipped my mind until today. I freaked and looked at the deadline. It's tomorrow... So what happens now since I didn't do the defensive driving?

I haven't taken defensive driving that I was supposed to take on a speeding ticket I got before I moved to Austin about 7 months ago, and nothing has happened to me. I even renewed my car insurance today, and nothing came up on my record. They asked if I had gotten any tickets since the last time I renewed, and I said yes, but I took defensive driving and got it taken off my record. I then asked if anything came up on my record, and they said I didn't have anything...

Not saying this will happen to you, but that's just my case... Maybe it will come up later? I don't know...

You will probably have to pay the fine. I would call or go down there tomorrow.

I hate to say it guys but you are playing with fire here. If you don't do something you tell the court system you said you would do it's gonna burn you. Get it taken care of of be prepared to pay the piper!!!

Bend over and get ready to pay some high fees. They might still let you take it..
Just go to the courts and let them know.

nope, all bad information. Start it tonight online. As long as you have started it before the deadline, you're good. Call the court clerk tomorrow to let them know.

After re-reading the guys post Zero2sixT is right... Your do date for the class you said is tomorrow.

Only thing I can think of that might give you some problems is the Driving record you have to buy to give them at the time when you go to the courts office.

finish it tonight and then go to the court and ask for an extension. as long as the date of completion is before the due date, youre good. ive done defensive driving more than a few times before, and i had this happen to me once. just tell the clerk that youre waiting on the driving record. they usually give you a week grace period anyways. just be sure to contact them, because eventually they'll issue a warrant and show up next time they have one of those round-ups.

When I got mine the judge point blank told me, "all paperwork and classes must be turned in by this date, and circled it" She said she doesn't do extensions or allow time.

Guess it just depends on the judge. For damn sure I would go talk to them.
