Default Fender Roller in Houston?

Guys,

I noticed after going to the C&C meeting a couple weeks back that my rears are rubbing and cutting the tires on the inner lip of the rear fenders. Sooo, it's time to roll these boys and give them some room. Anyone have a Fender Roller tool (Eastwood maybe) here in Houston I could borrow or rent or know of a place I can rent one from? Looking to do this next weekend the 25th? Also any advise on the rolling, other than heating the paint good with a heat gun?

i say just grind down the lip. dont got to worry about paint cracking or warping anything. and you can do it in a matter of a couple minutes.

i wouldnt grind it down. it takes alot of structure out of the panel. ever see the slammed on the ground trucks and the rear fenders are shaking like a crack head? thats what they did

Thanks Justin, that's what I was thinking as well as there is really little structure back there. Have you done yours? If so have any pointers to keep from cracking the paint?

no i havent done mine. havent had the need to yet. a buddy of mine did it with a heavy mallet tho. not a single wrinkle but he was very carefull and took his time. it would probably be safer to use a block of wood as a dolly too

As long as you take your time and keep the paint pretty warm with the heat gun you really should not have any problems. You may come a cross a little spot that may need to be persuaded carefully with a mallet because of the outer and inner fender joining there and make it a little tough to roll but it can still be done nicely.

I definitely would not suggest cutting/grinding the lip away.
