Default Trans swap

I just bought a Trans Am 98 auto and want to swap the transmission . Can you guys recommend a good shop around Dallas/Fort Worth area to do the job? Any idea about the price? Thanks.

Paid $550 to have my th350's rebuilt each time, guessing $250 then to swap a trans at a shop? Wouldn't pay more than that.

If Your trying to go from A4 to T56? Make the trip down to Houston and let the guys @ LMR take care of you...

Josh @ LMR did a great job with my swap, he even reinforced the firewall which alot of shops skip that and you will end up with a cracked firewall after a few thousand miles.

that's right, I'm trying to go for the 6 speed. The car is 80k miles bone stock. I know nothing about this car, to be honest . Do I have to buy the trans, pedals etc and take to the shop or they have everything for the swap? Can you tell me the price ? Thanks

Im sure a shop could source the parts for you but you might be better off getting them yourself.
What you need is:
Pedal assy w/ clutch position senser
Clutch master cylinder with resevior
slave cylinder
pilot bearing
flywheel
clutch
bell housing
t56 w/shifter
t56 cross member and tranny mount
6 speed center console/rubber shift boot/leather shift boot
stock wiring harness can be used
I would also get some gears
Thats pretty much it. I might be leaving a few things out.

Call Matt at LMR, I'm sure they have some of the parts you need and can get you a good price what they would need to order.
