Mentally Challenged HS Kid Scores Touchdown Very classy of both teams:

Ike Ditzenberger, a 17 year old Down's Syndrome HS student scores a 51 yard TD on the last play of a HS game to secure the only points for his team in a 35-6 loss.

There's also a south meet down at Cabella's on Saturdays around 5ish I think... But I've never gone... it's too far of a drive for me.

Fantastic story! Good for the other teams players too. They will look back 30 years from now and smile about this story....as will that players' family and teammates. Wish more of this happened this day and age.
Anyone remember the HS boy with autisim that was the bastbetball teams towel boy and they let him play the last game of the season and he ended up nailing 6 three pointers in a row? this was just a few years ago. another great story.

thats awsome, thats makes that kid happy in ways we dont understand, i had a cousin with down syndrome and was autistic, and seeing the joy he would get from something like that was one of the coolest things EVER!
Keller, i believe did something like this a few years ago, that was awesome just like this

I usually go to the early meet on 1431 behind Carl's Jr in North Austin on Saturdays around 8ish, then around 10ish a group of us head out to Mexico
There's also a south meet down at Cabella's on Saturdays around 5ish I think... But I've never gone... it's too far of a drive for me.
