Default My newest addition, let the modding begin!!

I have always wanted a CTS-V Caddy since they came out but seemed to be very expensive even for a high mileage one. Always thought it would be badass to hear one with a nasty lope, just plain nasty.

Well my friends, thats what I am planning to do. Keep and eye out in DFW area for a nasty caddy in the next month.

All I have done in 24hrs of ownership is K&N Filter and fabbed up my own 2.5" to 3.5" to 4" exhaust and 285/40-18 rubber. Figured I could build a turbo kit, I could fab up my own exhaust. Sounds great now!!

Details, 2004 CTS-V, LS6, M12 6Speed, Loaded to the max.
Few pics...

Congrats on the purchase! I've always liked the first gen CTS-V's as well. Yours looks very clean.

Thanks man, I looked at quite a few of them, but this one caught my eye. Very clean, has a few touchup places, but overall outside a solid 9 and inside just about a 10.

Dang Cole, underneath yours is pure sex. What headers did you use?

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I love this car, crazy to think of what it is going to sound like with a cam coming from a sedan.

Welcome fellow Texas V owner

I have a black/black 05 with only cai and tires so far...

They are badass cars, especially as a daily

IMO its worth it to not run the front plate...

i am running Kooks 1 7/8" with Magnaflow cat back. the sound is absolutely amazing, and VERY quite at idle and cruise. the only problem i ran into was Kooks doesnt have mid pipes for Magnaflow, they X pipe had to be custom cut in there. well worth it though. if you will be at North Star tonight, i will be up that way...and you can here Betty first hand . but i am working a before and after video for the exhaust note right now.

Very nice cars guys! The biggest complaint I always hear is the rearend, any plans for it? What kind of gas mileage do you guys get in them? Im with you Vcious they are always high priced for the mileage, thats why I dont DD one right now...

Rear end: most of the bad rear were in the 04 and early 05s. they got recalled and most were replace by GM. as long as you dont do any really hard launches or 5k clutch dumps, the rear will hold. but its always a good idea to get some of the wheel hop band aids that are out there. OP, if you want what guys with you model are using to make the rear stronger, just ask in the V section of LS1 Tech.

MPG: i can get 25 to 26 @ 75mph with about 28 to 30 @ 60. since i have to LS2 (06-07 Vs), i cant speak for the LS6 (04-05 Vs) for sure. but i think they get a tick or 2 more then me. but my average combined is 14 to 15 .
