Default Quick LS1 block question

So I bought a junk LS1 block ( 02 model I believe) and I plan on making a coffee table out it. I have rods from an 04 5.3. My question is will I be able to weld the rods to the inside of the cylinders so that the pistons are facing up and flat?

you dont need to weld anything. bolt the rods to the head bolt holes. Of course you will only be using one bolt and thats plenty. Then go to the hardware store and buy bolts that are about 1/4"" in lench and put then in the bottom holes with some silicone. Those are just for looks. Take a look at the pic in the link. https://ls1tech.com/forums/texas-cla...table-f-s.html
