Default Cop with nothing better to do..

So i stayed the night at my GFs house the other night and parked on the street..

Next morning i go out to my car at about 9:30-10:00am.. There is a Constable about two houses down parked on the same side of the road, i didnt think anything of it, got the stuff i needed out of my car and back inside i went.

fast forward to 1:30pm i get in my car and notice the cop is STILL there, so i think maybe some trouble at the house down the street.

start my car and literally pull up 100ft. to the stop sign and he comes flying up behind me with his lights on.

my inspection was expired... a cop sat outside for at least 3-4 hours JUST to give me a ticket for expired inspection!

Calling BS on this. You aren't important enough for a cop to waste hours in order to give you a ticket for an expired inspection.

Try thinking before posting.

Technically I think he's able to give the vehicle a ticket without you in it for being parked on a public street with expired tags. You driving by just made it easier on him to grab you.

LOL why would i care im not an attention *****..

maybeee he had a call to the house he was at earlier.. but he was DAMN sure waiting for me to leave..

because as soon as i drove forward he pulled me over.. and he couldnt have seen my tags because he was behind me.. so he obviously drove by, saw my tags, and waited..

and NO he did not search me or anything..

Did you ask him if he had anything better to do than wait for 3 hours? As much as I respect most cops, that's pretty sad....

Well here is an idea OP, be legal and get the car inspected. Don't blame a cop for something you did wrong. He was doing his job. Thats like driving drunk and getting a dui and blaming the cop, take responsibility for your actions, sooner or later in life you will have to.

Um cops can write you a ticket and leave it on your car of expired tags or inspection. No need to wait.

Damn i didnt mean it like that. I knew it was expired i Just had not driven the car much lately so i never got it inspected.

I am not blaming the cop for anything. He wasn't rude, very professional. I know i deserved the ticket, i just thought it was hilarious and ridiculous that he waited that long for me to leave for such a minor infraction.

I didn't mean to come across in a rude manner and agree it is kinda stupid that the cop did that, but whatever, right. It will probably only cost you $10 filing fee to get it dismissed after you get the inspection.

Op.. I get your point. It's not about the ticket.. Pretty damn lame for him to sit there and wait that long for that bs of a ticket. Where the hell were they when Real crucks broke in to my car.

Why is that? What if the ride has been sitting and he just got it running again?

It's just what they told me, it may be different in your court. You could plea not guilty and maybe get out of it but it wasn't worth the time for me. Also go there an hour early, sign in, go get some breakfast or something so your not waiting for hours and hours.

Got pulled over bring my car home from the body shop.
