Hey guys. I am coming down to visit S.A.M. in a couple of weeks, and was wanting to take a look at some apartments while I am there, or at least check out the areas. Here are some of the apts that I am looking at currently.
Carrington Park - 15335 Park Row Blvd Houston, TX 77084 (Possible Ax)
Easton Village Apt - 8550 Easton Commons Dr Houston, TX 77095
The Villages of Cypress Creek - 10300 Cypresswood Dr Houston, TX 77070
Villas at Huffmeister - 15050 Copper Grove Blvd Houston, TX 77095
Carrington at Green Trails - 529 Barker-Clodine Rd Houston, TX 77094
Waterford on Westheimer - 13099 Westheimer Rd Houston 77082
Are any of you familar with these apartments, or areas? Sorry for the long post, but I just don't even know where begin in the area, hell I live in Lexington, KY and we have like 300,000 total in our city. lol I am looking for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, with a garage is the main thing. Thanks for the help.

lived there when I was going to community college years ago. Just don't leave your apt dirty or they will tax the **** out of ya, lol. It was brand new when I moved in so that was a large part of it I'm sure... Nice complex, good area. Not sure where SAM is but your area seems pretty spread out. Houston is BIG and you don't want to be too far from work/school if you have a choice with traffic and stuff.

You really need to figure out how far you are willing to drive / sit in traffic and such before I can give any input. Considering they are about to start ripping 290 up, I am not sure I would live out 290 any distance.

as far as where the school is, here is the address. 1911 antoine drive, houston, tx 77055. They gave me a few suggestions as to apts close to the school, but the reviews on them weren't too great. I would rather drive a little bit, and have a nicer place, and know I am safe, and my car isn't goin anywhere, than live closer and be worried all the time. I know I am gonna have to drive a bit. Hell, it only takes 20 minutes to drive from one end of my town, to the other, so anything is gonna be a change.

I know where SAM is. I don't live too far from there. Living close to there will cost some $$$ if you are looking for a reasonably nice place. I am sure they told you about 5555 Memorial or whatever it is. They used to be decent, but have gone downhill pretty bad the last several years. Traffic on I10 isn't bad and SAM is not far off of I10. I would check out some apartments out towards Katy (past the beltway). I would try to stay on I10 or South of I10. Westheimer isn't terrible, but you will spend some time getting to the freeway.

I used to live close in off of TC Jester and I10 at a complex called Stonewood when it first opened. They have garages, but they are not attached. They may not have any available. I have heard that place isn't as nice anymore and has some questionable people living there. It could be worth a look though.

thanks for the heads up leadfootduramax. I appreciate it. One of the places I found, was right off of I-10 I think, right by George Bush Park or something. I got a lot of driving to check these out. lol Oh well, rental car gas sipper ftw I guess.
