Trying to gauge value of semi-rare 4th gen
98 m6 formula 59k, 2nd owner garage kept. 9 of 10 inside and out. No rattles or creaks, minor bolt on's...every option. Car was bought new in Louisiana, then purchased in Texas by me in 2000.
So....how much do you think this ride is worth? Does the fact that Pontiac is dead now raise the value? Or the fact this is the first year of the final body style. With a fairly low build number in 98 of only 2,123 formula's, how many of these do you think are still around? My guess is probably less than half still remain. Thanks

Can I please get a response from someone that knows what the hell they are talking about. 6500-7000, dude you most be the DUMBEST person on this site..let me guess that ride you bought had over 100k on the clock correct? And probably had like ten owners and been wrecked.
Forgot to mention my car has NEVER even been in a minor fender bender, and see bad weather less than a handful of times.

I'm just letting you know, my 01 SS with 98K and three owners went for 9500 dollars. It was the most sought after combination of SLP parts and red and an M6 and flawless exterior. Your Formulas' saving grace is 59K miles. Being a 98 is a downside, being a Pontiac doesn't matter, being a formula....most people would rather have a TA/WS6, and the most sought after ones are the 01/02. I'd expect something around 10K, but start higher and see where it goes.
If you had something like a one year only color, or a firehawk or something then that would make a little bit of a difference.

Thanks e tough guy. What a tool you are. Mine has 48k on the clock and was always a Texas car. Headers full exhaust lid shifter and I paid 8. So yours has the flat hood and 16's

OP "Or you can wish you could come across a dumbass like this" lol
Did this car have a lot of mods done to it?
Whats with people thinking this car has low miles? I have 41k on my car and I think thats a lot.

No, lol, Just the SLP suspension, lid, and its build sheet said CME but somewhere along the line the owner before me replaced it with a magaflow catback because the SLP was "too loud". Like I said, start high and see what happens....I had it posted for 11 and someone offered me 9500. I put new headlights in and some HIDs and did some minor visual things (shaved the grille tinted the blinker lights etc)... Couldn't believe it but it was a good looking/running car. I bought a TBSS the week after she sold.

Honestly I couldnt tell you what it actually worth. I just have to look and test drive the car first. But fyi, i bought my 99 Formula with 120k body but 20K on motor for 6700$. It is flawless, but needed a tranny rebuild... So for lower mileage on body and good trans, i would add a few bucks??. soo 8000-8500 ish$?!?!?

Being a Formula it's a bit rare, being a six speed it's more desirable then an auto. What hurts it are that it's a 98 and not a special model, 98s tend to be the least desirable due to the PCM. At 59K miles it's some what low, but not that low. If some one with the cash wanted to drop it on a Formula, they would be looking for a WS6 or a Formula Firehawk car which yours is not, it's a regual Formula. There was a real 99 Formula WS6 with 44K miles, clean as hell, never wrecked, black which is a bit more desirable then yors and the asking price was $10.5, what it sold for, only the owner and buyer knows. So $7000-8500, seems about right. Your also failing to look at the key demographic who buys these cars, most people buy them to mod, so they could care less if Pontiac exists or not. The people who do care the miles and options make it a pass for a serious Pontiac collector, if it was a 2-3K mile 2000 Formula WS6 1LE optioned car, you may have a case but it's not. The boat to sell an F-body left 5 years ago, you might get a solid $8K-9K maybe if you waited for the right buyer. Stuff can be semi rare but some one still has to want it, the 93 in my sig I have had since '00, I am the second owner and it has 73K miles on it. It's only 1 of 20 Trans Ams sent to Hawaii for sale by GM in 93 if you break the rpo codes down. How ever there isn't some market for them so the car isn't worth any more then any other F-body if the same year. You can break down what ever production numbers you want, rare matters if it's worth being rare, Firehawks or WS6s, not regular Formulas.

Where to begin? So yeah probably 85% or better that hood you have is a crap knock-off that I wouldn't put on a go-cart. Let me guess...it doesn't line up for ****. 2nd you must be blind, dumb or both...look at the photo, my ride has the 98-00 ws6 polished wheels. Oh and they are REAL from the factory wheels ....not some shitty Chinese knockoff.

From what I have posted and a few other have all said around the same price range what the car would sell for.
If you have any other questions let us know.
If you can post up some pictures for us.
