Default cam timing issue

a friend of mine put a lsx block in his car and it will fire up then die right after. the car is throwing a po343 code and we changed the cam sensor and still no luck i havent checked voltage but will tommorow. my question is when running the lsx block do you run the half moon cam gear or the 4x cam gear?

your gonna have to post up a little more info than just a lsx block and camaro. Is it a ls1 or 5.3 or what? What reluctor wheels does it have? Could be vats.
