So you really have to disassemble the steering column

Default So you really have to disassemble the steering column

in order to replace a key cylinder?

Yes, I had to do it when the VATS wires got severed. Technically it's not really the whole column, just the steering wheel and then pulling the wires through.

Edit: BTW, would you be interested in a 97 WS6 Roller?

Tie a piece of string to the old wire before you pull it out and then tie it to the new one so you can pull it back thru.
