Drove my friends 2011 ss today
She picked it up a few days ago. Car only has 300 miles on it. stock auto ss with rs package. I must say it rode great, felt powerful (kinda) but I must say after driving it for 5 min I know I will never own one. I felt sooo claustaphobic it was killing me. The windshield is so small...Not sure what it was about the design but my view felt very limited. Much worse than my previous z06. Other than that the car felt solid but it def felt heavy

My G8 felt odd at first coming from a Grand Prix, but after a couple weeks that feeling went away. Anytime you change cars it takes a little while to get used to the different feel. I love the look of the new Camaro and since it's very similar to the G8 I'm sure it's a great car.

Takes a little getting used to driving one. I actually prefer driving a 5th gen to a 4th gen as the 4th feels like a fishbowl after you have driven a 5th gen so long. Viper hands down over a zo6, 5th gen or even a zr1. Love how the vipers drive.

I drove my friends 2011 the week end of pinks all out to the track and man I loved it. I like that car more then my camaro. I'm 6'1 and was plenty of room for me. Its smooth as hell and the 6 speed is just bad ***. That's what made me want to do a 6speed swap into my car just to have that low RPM range in the 5th-6th gear just going 100mph @ 2000 rpms quiet as **** lol....

THIS.
If you get the LS3, watch the 1-2 or even the 2-3 shifts. The bitches grind at high RPM and even at creep speeds @ 20mph. (inconsistently)
My only other complaint on the Gen 5's are weight... but you already know that.
oh yea, the Rake on the windshield- it is a high rake so you need to stop before the fat-white line in order to see the lights change. That or you could just wait for the other cars around you to react before you step on the go-fast peddle.
