Default Moving to the Dallas area, could use some advice

I just landed a job in Dallas and will be moving there this summer. I have only been to the area once before and I do not remember a whole lot so I could use some advice from those who live/have lived there. I will be visiting in a few weeks with my wife to look for an area which we might want to live, some fun things to do, etc.

If you have any recommendations of areas to live, areas to avoid, or things to check out while visiting I would appreciate the help. We do not know where my wife will be working yet and I will traveling for work a majority of the time so we don't have an office we need to be near as of now.

Thanks in advance.

Depending on you're price range and what you're looking for, as far as a house or apt, Coppell, Plano, Allen, Mckinney, Frisco, and Little Elm are nice..

Like most will say the nicer parts are Farmers Branch, sections of North Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Little Elm, Allen.

I am personally from the Grapevine/Colleyville/Southlake area and it is a really nice area to live in. The area is pretty nice and its 10-15 mins from DFW making traveling really easy.

You probably don't remember much because there isn't much worth remembering in Dallas.

Everyone is throwing out good suggestions but no one has actually asked where your job is. Depending on where you have to drive to could decide where you live.

Where is your job/office?
