Default C5 Engine Project W/PICS

Ok as many may know by now i accidently froze my motor and cracked ALL of it. Im in the process of rebuilding it. Its a Stock 98 C5 with 40K miles M6. I want 450 safe RWH Max meaning it wont Blow up.

Parts i have so far.
P/P MTI and LME 241 heads with dual springs
LS6 intake
stock throttle and Maf
7.4 Chromoly Pushrods
T-rex 242/248 110lsa cam.
LS1 block at HKE
new head bolts
Long tubes and X-pipe.

Parts i need ASAP.
Ls2 timing chain
Clutch im thinking of a centerforce
Harmonic balance still not sure what kind.
head gaskets
ARP rod bolts.
Radiator
Rings waiting for HKE to tell me the specs.

Parts I dont know if i should buy.
Eagle rods
Probe FSP Pistons
Ls1 Timing damper

Or Should i buy the rods only and leave the pistons alone?
Well heres what i have so far.

AND THE NEW DIFF. just kidding it one of my dads projects

Why not just drop a used factory "cammed" LS3 in that C5 making close to 500rwhp and be done with?

Yea i dont have much money like joseph "JOC" said its an extreme budget build the heads and intake where given to me from a friend and the injectors and fuel pump are from my brothers old CTS-V set up so a guift as well. the cam i bought it from a member on here for cheap and new. As for the cracking...i ran tap water because my radiator had a leak and the week it froze i was sick like a M..F
So it sliped my mind. Jon at HKE is providing the block Dirt cheap aswell so prob. biggest budget build ever

It might be a budget build, but dont skimp out on important things like valve springs, retainers, locks, the oil pump. One cheap valve spring can ruin your week. Plus yours is a 98 so the oil pumps were prone to failures.

They are now, but 97-00 had more failures than any other years. I know 4 people that have lost their 98-00 F-body motors to oil pump failure

Just buy the Melling or the Moroso and be done with it.. And as far as Valve Springs go, be careful with the trex.. It is a good cam but can be a Valve spring killer due to the nature of the lobes on it..
