Default Gun people come inside please.

I need to know if there’s a limitation to how many guns I can transport from one location to the next.

How many guns can you travel with in the state of Texas?

I have gun cases for all of them.

Reason I'm asking:

Last thing I want is my wife to get pulled over and having way to many.

I believe in Texas, the limit is as many as you can carry. Now another state I'm not sure. But I often travel with at least three. I can't say I've heard of a limit though.

Would make going hunting or to the range very annoying or cumbersome if there was a limit - that being said I can't say for certain there isn't one

Never heard of a limit. I regularly take 8+ to the country with a ton of ammo. I don't think you would get any grief if they all were in their own cases. Hell if i get pulled over we would be there for a while.

Well I want to make sure... She will be bring back two gun collections.. Here grandfather passed away and left them to her dad and he will be bringing his back too.
They have enough for a small war between the both of them. I just don't want to take any chances.

Quick run through of this didn't show any laws against transportation in teh State of Texas.

As long as it's not a
(1) an explosive weapon;

(2) a machine gun;

(3) a short-barrel firearm;

(4) a firearm silencer;

(5) a switchblade knife;

(6) knuckles;

(7) armor-piercing ammunition;

(8) a chemical dispensing device; or

(9) a zip gun

Are locations A and B in Texas? If so I did the same thing and never got hassled, moving an "estate" is certainly not a crime. The most I've ever had in the car at once was 10, but it's hard to stuff too many more in a cobalt LOL!

Anything under 16 inches is considered SBR or (short barrel rifle). You can get away if you have a 14 inch barrel and you slap on a 2 inch flash hidder.

Yes South Texas to DFW.

Hell if it was 40 guns I wouldn't mind but, like I said he has a collection of guns. And on top of that he wants her to bring his fathers too.

She took a small inclosed trailer and all the cases she could load in the back of the truck.

Lets just hope for the best. He will be with her on the way back I might ask him to drive just incase something happen he can tell them.

"short barrel rifle and short barrel shotgun". as far as a pistol, as long as it does not have a butt stock and a fore grip it is a "legal" pistol.

as far as a short barrel with a flash hider you better make sure the the muzzle device is pinned, welded, soldered or something to make it permanent.

Its less than 16". The carbines you can buy have either a 16" barrel or a 14.5" barrel with a pinned or soldered device on the end making it 16".

A SBR is anything under 16" with a stock. If you have no stock on it and IIRC no foreward grip, its considered a pistol.

18" is for shotguns. Thats why the defence/tactical models have 18" barrels.
