Any firearm owners?
This isnt car related of course nor is it a classified for a firearm sell.
I am looking into selling my tactical AK47 thats all black. I dont want to sell it to a shop where it wont be sought after as i want someone to have it and use it like I wish i could. Trying to find a shop thats more tactical/weekend plinking. Its just a few weeks old, 300 rounds or less.
Any idea where to find a shop to buy? I just want to sell it quickly and fix my car. located in DFW and looking around has ended me with just two shops and their not buying right now. any insight will help!

A .22 to start off with. Browning Buckmark if you wanna go nice? I have one with a cheapo nikon scope and it does well. It was a very good first rifle to start off. Or even a .243 with a scope (something you can hunt with.) It's not worth immediately going with an ak-47 or ar-15 because there is no reason to have a gun like that when you are 18. Or even get a shotgun. I just bought a browning maxus for hunting/skeet and I love it.

Ws6kid, what are your intentions with the weapon? eg: skeet, plinking around, home protection? Like this we will be able to tell you what kind of gun would best suit you. Its like how 00fastta said if this will be your first gun I would start off with a .22 and go from there sir.

You could try military gun supply off of east 820, Elk Castle off of I30 on the west side of FT. W, Cheaper than Dirt, or even Cabela's. Shops tend to lowball you so they can make their $.
How much are you wanting for it and who built it? I'm always looking.

So reason why im asking about the firearm is because i want to spend some more time with him.
Never got to see him while i was a kid you know.

My father goes hunting and i would like to join in the fun now that im 18.
I do have a sweet spot for hand guns but I know i cant have any of those till im 21. And I guess my answer to your question. Is all of the above?
Would like some home protection, want to do some hunting. and wouldn't mind having a few guns laying around so when i do have a daughter i can scare the ***** of her boyfriends. ( Big shinny revolvers ) maybe a desert eagle.
And some guns like a ak-47 or something like at matter to just blow **** up
But I just want to start of..... I dont know anything about gun sizes of bullets and etc.
I guess im just looking to pick this up as a hobby.

If you are just starting off i would go with these.
1: hunting doves/shooting skeets = remington 870 pump $280-350
2:deer/varmints = remington 223,243 (at academy $300)
3:plinking around = marlin 60 .22 cal $150-170
4:home protection escort 12 tacticle (holds 9 shots and its an auto) $499
these are just a thought if you want something practicle and want to save money.
