Default Anyone ever ran an F1-A on an AES boost motor?

I've been hunting around trying to find a motor that will work good with my F1-A kit. I've gotten various quotes from different engine builders and came accross this last night..

https://ls1tech.com/forums/sponsor-s...lock-sale.html

Anyone ever used them? Seems like a good deal.

Seems like the cost savings is in the parts. I don't think I'd risk it.

I'd take a GM factory crank over a cheap cast crank any day.

As stated before by many respected engine builders here, that 370 will work and those brands of parts won't be an issue at the power level you are looking for.

If I choose to go with the AES motor I'm defienetely going with the 370. Most likely ls3 heads and a custom blower cam from Bob @ Brutespeed.

I think you should go with some 225+ TFS or AFR heads with the thicker deck.

Correct me if im wrong but isnt a f1-a a little overkill on a 370 for 800whp? ive seen d1's make that on 396's and 383's.

No, just makes getting to his power level easier and spinning less boost which should mean less problems with belt slip.

Yes 800 rwhp is just a ballpark #. Id like to make that on boost only and then eventually install a methanol kit and see what it will do.

Why wouldn't you have HkE build you a new motor to handle the boost?

I know, I was saying I would rather they use a GM crank, which they are, over some of these motors which rely on cheap cast cranks. The factory cranks are decent pieces.

I'm considering that.

I've already got a quote from Eric for a new block I was just really trying to weigh out my options and try and find something already built first. I was happy with my HKE 408 he built but Im just really not wanting to wait 6 weeks or longer to have a motor built again,(which in my case w/the 408 it took about 3 months), unless I absolutely have to. It just sucks seeing my car on jack stands w/ no motor and an F1A kit begging to go on lol Hard to explain..

Save yourself lots of trouble...send HKE your business, it will be well worth the wait.
Trust me on this...I know the EXPENSIVE way firsthand!
