Default House appraisal in fort worth?

Anyone here an appraiser? I am looking to get into this house but the city had it last appraised at 74k and he is asking 120k. He said he has over 60k in remodeling. If anyone does or knows someone let me know. Thanks a lot. Here is my cell (817) 888-4657

The tax appraised value is based on what the tax appraisers can see, which is mostly on the outside of the house. In the interest of the home owner it is best not to list all the improvements, hence higher appraised value equals more taxes. You will have to get a house appraisal done by an independant company to get an estimate on what the house is worth based on what is done to it and what comparable houses have sold in that area over the past year or so. This will also be the basis on how much your finance company is willing to lend for the property. Hope that helps.
