Wash your cars and bottoms ladies and gentlemen! We are having a local car meet at the VFW in Temple 6/7/2014 @ 7pm -? This meet is for any and all vehicle enthusiasts with a passion for sweet horsepower and shiny rims! In all seriousness though, let's meet up and talk cars. Hope to see you all there!

I'm sure there's still a scene out there, I've heard the River (little river dragway) has been pretty popular as of lately. There's the CTCC guys in Killeen/Lampasas and then the SWG guys (casey rance's shop) in Temple/Belton. In general though the car scene has always been ruined by the GI's who buy a nice car and then can't drive and do burnouts all over the place. Or worse, the same thing in some obnoxious import.

Nothing wrong with being a GI, and don't get me wrong there were plenty of them who had very fast cars and knew how to drive them. It's alot different these days anyway from the days when there were hundreds of thousands (seemed like it anyway) of yall on base. lol. I know alot of people in the area would drive up to Waco or down to Austin for the street scene and better car community. I moved out of that hellhole and divorced the girl who chained me down there last spring and it was one of the better decisions I've made. LOL

Don't even have a car right now, but I go to the Lions Club Park often to walk and jog and see big crowds there during the summer. Usually a pretty good mix of cars. The crowd is mostly young, but I see families there too. And the usual dumb-assery
