Default cost adding pw & pl to an F-body

Looking at options.........and one would be a 1SC (stripper) Z28

That said, with that car I would want to add pw & pl, but I am having a hard time finding anything with regards to adding them to a 4th gen (2002)

So what would it cost to add power windows and locks to a Z28 ?
.........looking at parts and labor

Haven't called any stereo shops yet and not real certain who would do the best work with a fair deal.......any leads would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance for any assistance that can be provided.

I can tell you that it is not that bad. The power window and power locks have a separate wiring harness under the dash that attatches to the main power block under the dash and goes to both doors. You would need that and a new BCM, the window regulators and motors, the power door lock assemblies and repin some connectors. I would go to a junk yard and do some digging.

From what I remember anyway...............

way i did my install was got 2 doors that had the power stuff and pulled harness out of junk car its easy, other way is when you take panel off you will see a second set of bolt holes for the window track setup move it to these and add motors then get harnesses from junkyard. you will not need a new bcm all the bcms have the lock controls but not all are set up for key fobs

the PW harnesses go through the door and up into the dash i think, they do not unplug, they are hard wired... I had to replace my drivers harness when I bought mine and I had to get it from a junkyard. I went as far back as I could, I could not find where it plugged into a harness. Your best bet would be to get the guts from a donor, swap it over and just wire it to accessory power...for the locks, you can do the same thing.. you will lose the keyless ability since youre not changing the BCM.. I did this swap on my base model v6 I had in 2005

Don't do it, it will ruin the car, those are pretty rare. if you want a car with pw/pdl get one with it already, there is an abundant amount of them out there

Come to think of it, After all the Fn window motors ive replaced over the years, I think manual would have been much nicer...
