Highly unlikely... and if you were blocking a hydrant i would suggest just manning up and take responsibility for your actions. be glad there wasn't a need to use that hydrant while you were blocking it.

you could try a lawyer, but im not sure if a ticket like this even goes on your record as its not technically a moving violation. might be worth it just to pay it

Just man up and pay it and take it as a lesson learned.

It's going to cost about $75 just to get him to see the case and if he can' t do **** you still pay the $125.

I say just pay the ticket.

I drive a fire truck for a living. If I need that hydrant, I need more room than most think. Even if your close, your vehicle can be damaged. Very lucky they didn't tow it. There are tow trucks that drive around and look for things like this. You pay for the tow and storage and hope they didn't damge it or take something. $125 is not bad for a lesson learned and have your car in one piece.

Your doing the best thing yourself, I would just set it for court and plead NOT GUILTY. Most of the time if you plead Not Guilty and set it for Jury Trial Ft. Worth will throw it out and dismiss it. If not the worst thing is you will have to pay it. I set EVERY single ticket I get for jury trial and have not paid any money out of my pocket yet. Good Luck.

your going to court? lol

now your gonna get slapped with court costs and the ticket. You should have just paid the ticket. 125 bucks really? my time is worth more then 125 when you sit in a courtroom waiting your turn for 6 hours.

Have fun.

exactly...I'd pay fine out of convenience, no way I would want to go into court downtown and waste half a day at best for a parking ticket.

Don't pay James Mallory, he's pretty much a waste. He's $45 and not $75 though. Turns out saying you want a trial by jury is pretty much the best way to get a ticket thrown out, learned this recently from a co worker

Yeah easy for you two to say. You're grown men with nice paying jobs and you both own Corvettes and/or Cadillac CTS-V's among other cars. Of course your time is worth 125. But when you're 18 or 19 like the OP and I am, $125 is a lot more money, so yes, it is easily worth the 6 hours of waiting in court considering it would take us over 12 hours with a $10 an hour job just to pay it off. My job sure as **** doesn't pay me $10 an hour

they are just trying to let you know it's not worth the time cause in the end, chances are you are prob going to have to pay the fine anyways. i mean i wouldnt be suprised if the cop took a picture of your car, i mean how are you going to fight that? thats why they are saying just man up and pay the fkn ticket. im a college student as well and yeah i know 125 is a lot but i mean you broke the law and now you are going to have to the pay the consequences, not matter how trivial it is, you still broke it. part of growing up is to man up to your mistakes no matter how much you dont want to.

Fort Worth court sucks. Sitting in that hall way for 8 hours one day was the worst experience ever. I'd call an see if it's a moving violation if it's not I'd pay it.

Yea exactly It would take me 9 hours off hard work to pay for it... Its just ridiculous that they would write me a ticket for being parked for a couple minutes outside, as i wouldnt mind moving it if he would off asked... Oh well, I atleast want to fight it and get it dismissed and hope I can have the $125 in my pocket when I walk out...
