Default Need quick help - Is there a different process or risk selling car to someone from MX

I'm trying to sell my gfs old 01 mustang and someone just called wanting to take a look at it. Their on their way to my place. But before they got off the phone they said that they were from Mexico and staying at a hotel downtown. Is there any risk selling a car to someone from a different country? I've never done it, Is the process the same? Any help is appreciate

Just make sure you get cash in hand or the check clears before you turn over the car..

There is a form you can file at the DMV to state the vehicle has been sold and is no longer in your possession.

They wanted it, but I was skeptical unless I know that my gf has nothing to worry about.

I think this is correct , check the cash, be sure it is not funney money, or have your bank confirm the check so the writer can not cansel it.

you can get a marker from your bank or office depot to check for counterfeit bills. i personally would not under any circumstance accept a check, cash only and i would check to see if its real.

There is nothing to worry about. Just fill out a detailed bill of sale with a copy of their ID. Fill out the form on line and put the bill of sale or information away if something happens.
