Unhappy CRAP!!! Looks like I'll be in the garage all day tomorrow...

Well guys I was at the mall with a few friends and we decided to go to this surf shop called "Soundwaves" across the street... Well in the parking lot of the shopping center the store is in there are quite a few speed bumps, as I pulled into the parking lot I carefully AND SLOWLY went over the first speed bump with ease and no troubles at all. BUT as I got to the second set of speed bumps... Well lets just say that wasn't so pretty, my exhaust some how got hung up on it after I hit it bending the pipe making it completely vertical so the right rear-end of my car was sitting up off the ground on the pipe instead of the wheel...

Yes I do have my exhaust dumped before the axle but I kept the "S" pipe connected to my car and muffler because I was planning on reconnecting it (So this was pretty much an experiment). And I haven't had any prior problems with ground clearance over bumps/humps/speed bumps or anything.

What luck huh?? The pipe was pushed up against the axle and sway bar pretty good, but it seems to me there isn't any damage to anything at all other than the fcked up pipe. Except one other thing... My ABS INOP light is on in my car and I can't figure out why... Any ideas?

If you have traction control you may have pinched on of the wires that runs along the top of the rear axle tube. Check there first.

The pipe was so bent up I couldn't drive anywhere because it would catch on everything..

Yea I have AAA, besides that I decided to tow it because I didn't want to tear anything else up. Better safe than sorry.

Yup^^

At least you didn't get suckered into replacing your father in laws nissan frontier rear main seal, front trans seal, because he doesn't know what full means....not to mention i have to rebuild my fiances trans in her sport trac, I'll literally be In garage all day Saturday

Btw man im sure an exhaust shop wouldn't charge too much and all of thirty minutes, good luck though

Hmmm I'm not sure... I'll have to research how much it's worth used and missing the "S" pipe.
