Default check out my wrap

Hey guys,
I saw a post about someone doing some wraps and I thought they looked pretty good, so I called him and look what he did for me.... sorry they didn't come out in order, but, I'm stupid when it comes to computers. If anyone wants some good work at a fair price, give Gabeg94z a call!

you have a good eye, SHovV, after washing the truck Sunday, I noticed the bubble for the first time... I will call Gabe, and I am sure he will come by and repair that flaw as soon as he can. I may even try a hair dryer on it and see if that takes care of it. For those asking prices, I would suggest you contact Gabeg94z. He is a member here on LS1TECH.

One of the really convenient things about this wrap was, he was willing to come out to my house and do the wrap with me watching him. I didn't always keep an eye on him, but, just knowing that he didn't mind me watching gave me some peace of mind that he was doing it right! He broke one piece of plastic trim on the rear bumper and payed to replace it out of his own pocket even though I would have gladly paid for it.

This job took about 4 days only because I had him set up in the worst environment... he was outside the whole time and in those days we had a couple of really cold days which means the vinyl doesn't respond the way you want it to, along with the cold weather, I had him working in some rain for a couple of the days.... I would think that without the bad weather and if he was working in a garage where he could work all day he could have finished in two days fairly easily.

Hows does sit on existing dents? I need to get the front clip of my girls Malibu painted and I might just do this for the whole car.

yeah, the house is very old (50 years) and one of the upgrades was double pane windows. As far as stretching the vinyl over dents, I didn't have any, so I can't tell you for sure, but I would imagine it would just conform to whatever dent once heat would hit it... I will run it over to the office on Northpoint one day and show it to you.

What does it look like in the door jams? Do these wrap around covering all the paint? It looks really nice, pretty impressive. How long are they supposed to hold up for?

The vinyl material covers the entire panel, when it is crimped around an edge like on a door, the material goes to the edge of the panel seam. It should last for 3 to 5 years without any problems... I spoke to a 3M spokesman and he said the vinyls actuall have been tested to twelve years, but, they come with a three year warranty, once you get tired of it, you just take it off and your paint is in as good a shape as the day the material was applied.

Nice man, I have been looking for houses so things like that pop out at me. Did they say what condition the paint had to be in before it was wrapped?

The paint apparently doesn't have to be in that great a condition since he was able to wrap that crinkle finished vinyl portion of the front bumper, which turned out very good, by the way.

it is pretty damn cool. Do they just wrap and then cut and trim as they go? Or is it something that gets cut on a machine?
