Any bass guitar players in here ?????
Watz up guys just recently got me a bass guitar for my b-day and was wondering if any one can get me any tips or comments since i dont really know how to play. anything helps easy songs to play, any tricks , any books or vids.

Tip #1: Always make sure you're in tune. There is nothing worse than being a little out of tune.
Tip #2: Start small. You're not going to be Les Claypool in a week.
Tip #3: Practice, practice, practice.
Tip #4: Order a Hal Leonard Tab book off the internet of a "normal" band. That'll get you started. Don't start with metal (if thats what you're in to). Foo fighters is a good basic band to start with.
Tip #5: Practice some more.

Learn your scales.
Learn I, IV, V and vi in every key.
Ex. Key of E
I = E
IV = A
V = B
vi = C#m
Find some friends to jam with.
Watch Victor Wooten and anyone else on YouTube who is amazing.
The more you practice the better you'll be!
