ls6 pcv mod
i was planning on doing the ls6 pcv mod to my ls1 to remove all the old pcv piping and make room, but it is it worth all the work? and do i have to get a oil catch canister? ive seen some with and some without.

If you are already planning on replacing a knock sensor I say do it. I did mine when I swapped to a fast intake and it is cake. But depending on your block you may need to cut a notch so the internal pcv will fit. But if you have an 01-02 block (ls6 block) you will be fine and no cutting will be necessary. I think I got the valley cover, misc plugs/hoses off gmpartsdirect for right around 60 bucks to my door.

Here are the part #'s for everything you will need:
12577927- ls6 vally cover
GM Valve Cover Plugs #12568011
GM PCV Hose #12594779
and you can use the plug that comes on the breather neck on the valley cover also.

No problem. I cant remember exactly how to tell, but it was something along the lines of if your block had a bulls eye looking stamp on the front top part of the block it was an ls6 and if not then ls1. But dont quote me on it, do a little research.
