Default ? About 69 firebird

I thought about picking up a 69 firebird it has the gills on front fenders but on back quarter panel it has louvers like a 69 camaro.

Did firebird come this way or was it just camaro

Sounds like someone put Camaro quarters on it. No louvers or gills on the firebird quarter panel. I just got done with one of these so let me know if you have any questions. Is it a 400 car?

Someone would be crazy to put firebird fenders on it- that was the hardest front end I ever put together. After counting the bumper, grills, gaskets (yes gaskets) bezels, lamp surrounds..... I think there were about 50 pieces involved in getting it all lined up. I am close but still not there

LOL. Swapping quarters on a first gen isn't exactly an afternoon in the driveway...

Since when is cutting out a quarter panel, lining the new one up, welding it in, grinding it down, smoothing the lines so you can't tell its been replaced, and re-painting a rear quarter easy?

To the OP, is it possible it is a 67-68 firebird? Those had louvers on the rear quarters. Or maybe someone swapped it with the wrong year quarters due to rust?

Here is a 68

A 67-68 doesn't have the "gills" on the front fenders and the body lines are different than the 69 so you couldn't interchange the fenders.
