Most ive done with a deer is we had one run INTO our car once on the highway..
Litterally hit at the front fender and got both of the wifes doors and mirror. Killed the ****** too.

I was at the school bus garage a year or so ago and they had a school bus in the paint booth. I asked what happened and the mechanic said a deer hit the side of the bus. Broke 2 windows and left crap all down the side of it. Guess the deer thought he could jump over the bus as it was driving down the road.

As for karma, a couple of thousand laps at Summit Point, something bad is bound to happen eventually. Easy to get complacent but danger always lurks at the track.
The Mustang was accelerating out of the pits, he gave a courtesy point-by, which was acknowledged, no karma involved. Not surprisingly, a lot of folks dash out of the pits and blend before they are up to speed, so I did appreciate the point by. Mustang driver is a very nice guy and soon had his hands full with a freaked-out passenger not used to driving under flying deer parts.
I was rapidly closing on my brake zone when then deer leapt over the tire barrier, so there was no more anchor to drop. Wasn't going to endanger others by evading, so venison it was. It all happened very fast and it is amazing still to watch the video. I was surprised at the amount of bodywork that came flying through the hole in the window. Was amazed to see how the ABS shook my leg. Also figured out I could probably go another car length into the corner before braking.
Its not the fun you have its the stories you can tell.

Not sure whether a fence will keep them out or keep them in. It is wild and wonderful West Virginia, deer outnumber people. Would be really nice if they did something effective. Maybe if everyone wore orange vests then we'd never see them.
