if he would have been paying attention instead of waving he might not have hit it.

Are you kidding? He had absolutely no time to react.

I think that was during an HPDE and it is normal to give a wave to another driver that gave you a passing signal. I am sure he was too busy watching the track and the other cars to notice the deer until it was too late to do much about it.

How does a small wave thanking the mustang have anything to do with karma?

Watch the video again, he never takes his eyes off the road.

If this is a common occurrence then I would be furious. It shouldn't be that hard to keep deer off the track.

This. Hyperfest is great. HPDEs and all sorts of Spec racing all day long. And drifting and karts and 24h of lemons... Had a blast. Won a trophy.

Wow, remind me not to go to that track. I know what hitting one is like at normal highway speeds, can't imagine hiring one while racing. That had to hurt. And the guy on the bike, Damn!

If that's anything like the track days that they run here in Texas, you aren't supposed to stop and check on riders. They warn you prior to going out. They have trained officials that stop and help the fallen rider. I sure miss TWS and MSR!
