MY FIRST LS H/C/I 346 N/A Build LOTS OF PICS!! updated
First off some of this will be done off my phone so bear with me!
What all started off with doing a tsp header swap on my car that ended out stripping the threads out in a header bolt hole in my stock 241 head. Then turned into the "while im in there bug"! I originally bought a stock 241 to just swap and go........ Well it was an *** load of work to get there which tuned into "well lets get these heads cleaned up"! Then into well Advanced induction has a cool program for the 241's. Well as i was about ready to ship them off my buddy came up with some 243's for 400 $ low miles and from there..... The pictures will tell the tale!!!
Here is the initial before tear down pic!!
Tear down was p.i.t.a being that i have not even taken the dang intake off before so i just winged it.
Arial view getting picture happy ha.
When i got to about this point was telling myself that was a *** load of work for to go back to stock i really dont wanna do this again. So my mentality was do it right the first time.
About this time my friend texted me he had a set of 243's lets just say just what a guy like me could use.
About this time it had been about 5 months into the build money not allowing work being busy lots of life happening. but through all that i studied and found my guy i decided to take care of my head and matched cam and that would be Advanced Induction.
243' ****.
more to come!!

At this time i had the chance of taking my vfn hood and front bumper to the paint shop and get them painted. Thus started the unending parts needed list which ill list all probably at the end. O and along the way Another friend decided to sell me something again that was just a want not a need lol...
This was what i had planned on the intial look with a gloss black painted ls6 intake with painted coils. But nothing lasts forever.
Haha even though it put my project back probably three to five more months i always wanted one ever since i saw it come out in gmhtp there just awesome...
Gathered up parts..
mo to come

While the car was still sporting the all mighty 2.73 rear end gear. I tried to part ways with the highway gears with a 3.42 rear end out of an m6 car. Well little did i know the rear ends are different ( 3 channel to 4 channel)( 2 series carrier 3 series carrier). Things learned along the way. And the 2.73 curse remains!(The rearend i bought had traction control where mine does not ending out selling rear end for 3.73 since i have the ratech deluxe rear end install kit..
Having trouble getting the pictures i want to download onto the comp to here. Stay tuned the good pictures of the engine coming together later today!!..

Well it took me a while but i got the pictures to work. After gathering more parts i went ahead and started tearing down the engine more. I found it interesting ever since i owned the car at 100,000 miles i ran nothing but royal purple through it and it left.a reddish deep purple on the internals haha.
Ive read and read on here that if you drop that pickup tube bolt that you would be fishing for days ect ect. And the placement of the o ring is critical blah blah.. wasnt to.bad went smooth as butta!! Sorry no pics of cam installation. But instructions dot to dot baby!
Time for the deck surface cleaning. I also ended out taking.of.the carbon build up on the pistons!
Cleaning of the head bolt hole was a pain but these long cue tips got the job done.
As the head gets put on for its final beauty shot before it gets all covered up.
Ls6 pcv upgrade as well new knock sensors and harness.
Mo To Come!!

MIn the meantime gathered more parts and the little things that i would have never thpught about i needed at the beggining of this build, my hood an bumper got finished fron paint and it was so fresh i just hung it in the man cave so i could see it everyday ha..
Torquing the head bolt down here. And of course tha epic standing in the car picture!
Test fitting the intake. Fits just right!
I wanted to just leave it like this its so damn good looking before you caver it up with miles of wiring, serpentine and plastic.
Getting tired of not having the car and just ready for it to be done so i didnt get much pictures. Just the boring stuff serpentine harness conections ect. It took me awhile for to figure stuff out cause at this point it was 11 months since i had ripped it apart... Damn my unorginization.
Will Update first start up tonight!!!!
