Houston Area Tune
Hey all, I'm probably bringing how an 05 GTO next week (heads/cam/etc) supposedly around 493rwhp. The o2's have been deleted, but are still in the bungs, so I'll have to get them working again to make it legal in texas . Planning to have the car re-tuned. Need some suggestions for good shops/tuners in the Houston area. Not looking for 3 passes and done, want to get some good work for the money these tunes cost! I live on the NW side, but for a good shop I'll definitely drive. Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!

Mike and the Guys at G-Force will take care of you and answer any questions you may have, and, then of course there is always LMR which is another well known, and respected shop.....Chuck Anders???? I wouldn't let that guy touch or tune my Pedal Car..

I am not sure why 3 dyno pulls is bad, but here is my personal experience.
I reached out to Mike at G-Force and told him what I had and what I was looking for.
We always answered quickly and gave me his opinion.
We scheduled a day, I showed up, he dynoed it, and then looked at what was coming up on the previous tune.
We discussed it and what his plan was.
Mike did a total of 5 pulls trying different things with the AF and I am sure other variables until we got a very good tune that picked up a little power.
They answered alot of questions and let us roam around and look at their other projects, but we are adults and not kids, so I am not sure if this is normal practice.
Thanks guys!
I have been to LMR and really like those guys as well, I have nothing bad to say about them.
I think these are your two choices in Houston.

Ive never had a problem with Chuck and ive had Tons of cars tuned by him...I change cars and setups like T-shirts. I just bought a Camaro that was tuned by G-Force that had a forged 347 and somehow managed to melt number 7... LMR can handle a heads cam car. I know Steven just started tuning but he should be able to handle that with no problem.

also invest in a wideband too for your own good.... after i took mine to get it tuned by gforce and then i bought a wideband and installed it in my car to see where my AFR was... well at WOT it was 14.3......surprised i didnt melt pistons and ****... good luck
