Default Transmission tuning ...

I have a mildly built 4l60e and my tables are all stock setting on my car. I recently had the car tuned but the tranny hasn't been tuned at all. Anyone have any idea how to tune the tranny using HpTuners? One of my main problems I am having is manually shifting the car up from second at wot it seems to slip hard and bang the limiter before shifting into 3. Driving the car normal it has no problem at all.

After my motor swap mine does the same, got my tuner to mess with the line pressure(and whatever else you can alter for the trans on hptuners) to see if he could get it to shift. We had no luck though... I'm thinking its something internal.

Leave it in drive and let the computer do its job.
That might work for ya then.
Until you have trans built properly it will never shift manually like your wanting.

thats one option... when I do that every now and then the 2-3 shift will actually shift correctly.

There ya have it.
Until you get the proper build just leave it in drive.
Or you can do like I do. Take off in first at WOT then shift directly in to drive as soon as you can and then let the computer take over.(this is from a roll)

Leave it in D. You can't manually shift your 4L60E as fast as it can automatically. Yes you can and should tune it using HP Tuners. Go to HpTuners.com/Forum. Read the transmission section. All the basics are in there...I've modified my own and several other automatic transmissions using Hp Tuners. The difference in shift speed, firmness, and points of change are drastically modified with ease.

I think my problem is with either my shift solenoid it tc solenoid. The car all of the sudden lost 3rd and then everything came back and was fine 100%. I really think it is a solenoid issue in my case as the transmission was recently rebuilt.
