Default friend considering a 2010+ Cts-V, Pro's con's fuel mileage?

My friend is considering selling his diesel and picking up a new gen V. Trying to gather actual owners opinions on the car overall as far as issues, reliability and fuel mileage. Does a tune help on performance and fuel etc? What mods are suggested to kind of wake it up some? Lmk pls thanks.

I still laugh when people talk gas mileage on 550 horsepower cars..My instant reaction is this is not the type of car for you, or.. if you have to ask you can't afford it. lol

Thanks for the info, he is asking about the fuel mileage because its going to be his daily and he drives the s**t out of his daily when home. Trust me he definately can afford it as he has other pretty bad *** cars. He is just wanting something fast and fun to drive daily W/o getting 12-13 avg. I am sure he's going to like those #'s and knowing him one will be in his possession very shortly.
What are the $2500 mods for elevens? This is icing on the cake,

He has a new ford 6.7 4WD and uses it daily and averages 13-14 (lifted with 35's). Not too practical because he does not really need a truck daily. What is done to yours to achieve these #'s? Thats impressive.

It has 90 over injectors, a 120% over injection pump, 68 phatshaft turbo, cold air, 5"
turbo back, south bend clutch, arp head stud's, air dog2 (lift pump). This truck has 125,000 miles on it.

I dont really know what the city mpg is, i work it the oilfeild and drive it back and forth
from pearsall,tx to arkansas every other week. I do know it uses about .5 gallon a hour idleing.

I traded my 2001 c5z for this truck back in 2007. It had 15 miles on it went i picked it up. And started mod'n it when it had about 30k on it. I'm not goin to say it's the fastest
thing around, but it will bust my f-body's (stock) butt pretty hard.

While they do get low 20s on the hwy, in town can be 13-15 mpg. I get 17-18 mpg mix. What he gets depends largely on traffic and his right foot.

A con would be the stock isolator in the blower. Fixed by aftermarket.
