Didn't mean to be rude but if you need to work OT to afford a vette, then you probably have no buisiness in a new vette and there are probably other priorities at hand or someone needs a better job. No one wants to work their life away anyways.
Selling your car for a down payment should be common knowledge, same with buying used. I like the sell your services part, that could lead to starting a buisiness or a better job as a mechanic.
But working two jobs to pay for a toy that instantly depreciates will put you in a nice deep hole. What if you get layed off? How are you going to pay insurance and gas?
Some people just need to stick with what they can afford. And who wants to buy a vette and not afford to mod it?
Cash is king, I wouldn't ever finance a car. If your wife is bitching, then get an srt8 jeep or diesel. Multi purpose, doubles for family vehicle or a work horse. I've walked many c5's in my Dually. Wasn't too bad of a read, but remember your priorities guys. It might be worth it to some, I've always looked at cars as throw away toys.
Just forgot, remember everyone that pre-ordered ss's? A bunch had something come up well before the car was in their possession. Many lost their asses on their cars, but it also gave a few the chance to purchase a new car at a used price. No one wants to see a fellow member in a bad situation from an impulse buy. I hope this helps a few members out, just as the write up did for those looking for a way to own a new vette.
Good luck guys.
