Default Bought a new "family truckster".

I distinctly ordered the Antarctic blue super sports wagon with the CB and the optional rally fun pack.
, but

it didn't come in.

So, I got this instead.

2013 Dodge Durango R/T rwd

Every available option:
- Technology Group (blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning)
- Rear DVD Entertainment Center
- Trailer Tow Group
- Premium Napa Leather (heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, leather wrapped door panels, etc.)
- Second Row Captains Chairs and console
- Power Sunroof
- Top of the line NAV/Audio option

Here are a few dealer shots I grabbed off the dealer's website of my actual Durango's interior.

Thinking up trading the TBSS for one. Mind if I ask how much you had to give?

Yep. That's why I bought it.

It's on the same platform as the Mercedes Benz GL. It's car based now with an independent rear suspension. So, I guess the answer to your question would be no. The ride is quite nice.

Pwebb,
Sticker was $46,440. I got them down to $38,500. Drive out ended up being $2k under dealer invoice ($41,500).

We are looking for something now and this is on the list to go check out. Wife can't decide if she wants a SUV like this, grand Cherokee, etc. or more if a luxury sedan.

My wife's DD is a 2012 R/T. Same color as yours. Liking it so far. I think Dodge did a great job making it huge on the inside and hiding it's size on the outside. 3rd row is actually functional. I'm 6'3" and could easily endure a road trip back there.

I'm still curious to see how well it tows. Haven't hitched up the boat yet.

Handling is to be expected for something this size. Dodge claims a "sport" suspension for the R/T. Dunno about that.

Not fast, but powerful. Stock exhaust actually sounds pretty sweet.

Looks like a mini van. Does it have a frame or solid rear axle? How much can it tow?

Want to see burn outs and or drift.

Did you read my previous post? I posted earlier it's got an independent rear suspension.

Mine will tow 7,400 lbs.

The V6 Durango will tow 6,200 lbs.

Crossovers are typically based on front-drive cars with limited towing and off-road abilities. Body-on-frame S.U.V.’s are based on pickups, and they (including the original Durango) drive and swill fuel like trucks.

The latest Durango, though, is based on neither a car nor a pickup. Thanks to Chrysler’s bygone hookup with Mercedes-Benz, the Durango (as well as the Jeep Grand Cherokee) shares DNA with the Mercedes GL, a classier fancier relative than a Taurus or a Silverado.

Like the $60,000-plus GL, the Durango uses a rear-drive unibody platform with independent suspensions front and rear. This seems the best of both worlds. You get S.U.V. prowess for off-roading and towing without paying a significant penalty in on-road drivability or fuel economy. In fact, a rear-drive V-6 Durango can tow slightly more than a Chevy Tahoe Hybrid while matching its highway mileage rating.
Sorry. I just don't see mini van in it.

We are happy with ours except I wish she had picked out the v8 especially coming from the Escalade power. Our third row is hardly ever up as we still carry a large double stroller. Nice pick!

7400 lbs isn't bad, you could tow a trailer with a race car!

You see "ultradriver10000", these 6 vehicles are mini-vans! Not his Durango!
