Default Zero turn mower..... What do you own?

Well I have started looking into buying a zero turn mower. My brother has a John Deere z445 with a 54" cut with a stamped deck and has a 27hp Kawasaki motor. He has not had any problems with it in 4 years. So I looked at the z425 is just about the same but it's got a smaller 23hp motor and its briggs & stratton motor. I have heard the Kawasaki motor is better. Its a 1000 dollars cheaper than the z445.
Today I looked at eXmark mowers and they looked really nice. The one I was looking at today had a 23hp Kawasaki motor and a 50" fabricated deck. They have a 3 year warranty and a 4 year 0% interest.
So what I am getting at is, what do you use and what do you recommend?

Everyone in my area owns about an Acre. I think he owns a TORO though, gets the job done in about 45 minutes.

John Deere z225, 42" deck, owned 4 years with no problems that were not related to me hitting something I shouldn't... My GF got the same (newer model) one 2 years ago with the same good results.

I have a bad boy 50" deck and it has a 27hp motor. It's also a fabricated deck, stay away from the stamp steel decks. They are the same as the riding mowers and over time they will rust out because of the thin metal.

I can mow my 2.5 acres in about 1.5 hours.

I bought mine at tractor supply.

The John Deere are pretty nice. Good to see you have had yours for 2 years without any problems

I have a 52" Scagg with 27hp Kawasaki for 4years now only replaced the belt and changed oil on it. 2acres it takes me an honest 1-1:15 to mow it I have a lot of trees. I love mine its got the most comfortable seat of any of them I've sat on or used. My Brother has a Ferris and hasn't had any issues out of it in 3 years has shocks and is a little smother over the rough stuff. Friend John ULUZ on here has a John deer, and last time we talked about it he said it was ok no MAJOR issues with it either. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the comercial mowers GL! Look for some demo models.

I have a Lowes special 22-in Gas Push Lawn Mower, it can outrun any Zero Turn mower on the market. Sadly the speed is dependant on how fast and how long I can run!!

I wanted the Deere as well for my 2 acres, but 11 was the last model year you could get the high end wheel motors in the homeowner models. Plus the Deere is expensive. The current models use the same transmissions as all the other models you will find at the Depot and Lowes unless you step up to the commercial models.

I ended up buying a used Gravely 266Z from a landscape company. It came full serviced and ready to go and was 2/3 the price of a new Deere. Its built like a tank and has performed flawlessly so far. It has the Kawasaki 31hp motor, no complaints with it.
