Default question about lq9 build

ok so I replaced all main and rod bearings with new ones tqed everything down to spec and properly lubed it all, so should crank be hard to spin since new bearings havnt worn in or did i fudge up somewhere

also using 241 heads so should i use the lq9 head gasket or 241 matched head gasket

Did you mic or at minimum plasti gauge any clearances? Never once should you take for granted that all those bearings and machine work are spot on. Even one or 2 bearings that are off .005-.01 will cause it to hang up like that. That motor should spin freely with even a 1/4 inch wrench on the crank with no plugs in it.

cool and thanks for the info i loosened cap one and spins no prob ill re check all the clearances. i used plasti to check before assembly and checked for rotation after tqing each cap and rod and it spun freely then i installed cam, timing chain oil pump and it still spun fine. i added some oil to the pump to see if it was working spun it and all good, came back 30 min later and i wouldnt spin any more.

It doesn't really make sense why it wouldn't spin after you came back. Make sure the caps went in facing the right direction, set the thrust, and that the timing chain isn't rubbing the oil pump.
