Default HELP Tick Sound On LS1

Ok guys i am no mechanic but i have a loud ticking noise coming from my what seems like the is the passenger side of the engine bay. I did just install a Cam an i called the guy installed the Cam an he said it was probably the lifters gone bad? So any help or suggestions would be very helpful I have a video on my phone but cant upload it from my phone. I can email to someone if they can help put it up THANKS!!!

Are you still running the stock lifters? Happened to me and it was a collapsed lifter and ended up ruining my camshaft as well.

Shop had to take off the hears and replaced the cam and installed LS7 lifters...

pull the valve cover and see if you broke a spring.

Gtoslo88- Yes stock lifters didn't replace them.
Raven02TA- Ya I will look into it but I have been babying the car can't see that happening but maybe so! I will see about taking the valve covers off

trust me, youd be surprised how many have broken a spring with only a few miles and being babied.... im a victim of it myself.

Anyone here live close to Southeast side of Houston that can diagnose the problem an fix it. I don't have the tools to do the work!

Most likey hurt the cam as well if been driving like that. If u lived here id help ya out. Caught my lifter on my 2010 ss couple weeks ago.

Luckymex-I've driven the car twice so hopefully it didn't hurt the cam. Thanks for the offer for sure
