Default Spirited Car Cruise, Sunday May 19th

It looks like the weatherman will cooperate for our Sunday drive
with a 0% chance of rain.

It can seem like an early start time, especially if you have any
distance to drive to get to Katy. When that alarm goes off and
you say to yourself “it’s Sunday, do I really want to do this?”…

Just do it!

Tired of spending your gas money on just going to work?
We've got a better idea...Let's Drive! Yes, it's time for another
cruise in the scenic Texas countryside. This will be a "Best of

the Best" cruise incorporating our favorite segments from
previous cruise routes. We'll run through Chappell Hill,
Washington (Birthplace of Texas) and the famous FM 3090
just outside of Navasota.

What:
It's a 175 mile loop (from Katy) on the most curvy and hilly

two lane roads we could find.

No boring interstates. No cruise control.

This is not a race or rally. These cruises are designed for
drivers who enjoy driving, so they’re sometimes “spirited”
but always safe.

When:
Sunday May 19, 2013. Drivers meeting at 9:15 am.
Cruise begins at 9:30 am sharp. Come early.

Where:
We'll meet up at Love's Truck Stop in Katy, Texas (just

west of Houston). It's at Exit 737 on I-10.
How to participate:
Just show up! No sign-up sheets, no reservations needed.

What to bring:
The usual stuff you would carry for a long drive, especially
sunglasses and money for lunch. The lead and trailing cars will
be in contact by FRS radio, so if you have one, be sure to bring
it along and help us stay organized. We travel as a group.
We will hand out printed maps of the route that morning.

Are there rest stops?:
Yes. We will be stopping about every hour. There will be rest rooms
and gas/supplies at each stop. Along this route there will
be two rest stops, with dinner at the end of segment 3 at
the Wrangler Steakhouse in Navasota. That will put us right on

Highway 6 for an easy return trip back to Houston.

Arrange your busy schedule now and plan to join us.

Let's Drive!
