Indeed. Pulled both my cars out of storage for the first time in 5 years edit (7 years), busted the dust off and removed one dead rat and the project is off and running. 408ci 2 stage direct port and plate kit. Trans is being built new suspension and a lot of other junk. I want to row the bitch to an 8 on gas then lose the 6 speed throw in a glide full chassis big turbo. I forgot how much fun it is lol.
Now to be realistic this is a get it or blow it up proposition. After discussions the intake is being changed and will have a puck for fist then direct port taking over in second when puck shuts off. I just want one last hurrah with a 6 speed. So, the question is how much will it take and will it be enough before I find rods external to the motor 400-500? I seriously don't know if it would make a full pass on a 500, but if it does it might crack the 8s, and if it lets go before the 1/4 but past the 1/8 I'll try to only remember the fist 1/8.
I had to have the talk with the significant other about my toys and she was angling to rid me of the ls1s because "I don't drive them, and all they do is sit in storage." So, I compromised and I'm building the race car stripping everything I might need or want off the other one then it's going away. So, if anyone wants a 80k mile roller cheap let me know. It will be going with rearend 6 speed trans bunch of BMR suspension and enough parts to build a nice car will only need a motor.
