Best prices? Brands? Looking at a Kearney 18 ft steel floor. Looks to be about $2500 around DFW. Trying to get one for about $2K new. I'm in odessa, trailer can be in San Antonio, near Lubbock or DFW. Help me out fellas!

I recently bought a 20ft steel deck. I didn't have any luck finding them 2k new. Im sure the 18fts are cheaper, but 2k is prob wood deck territory

Trailers have gotten much higher the past 5 years or so. $2000 will buy you a used steal deck. Make sure it comes with good tires.

Look for a good used. I picked up my trailer a few years ago for 1100. Diamond plate deck, dovetail 18 ft 3500 lbs axles with brakes and decent paint

If you buy new, you will have to pay taxes and registration. $2250 is basically 2k plus fees.

GL on finding a used one too. I looked for a long time. Can't explain it, but used trailers sell for the nearly the same price as new or more. And they sell fast. I couldn't see the point in spending 2k on a used trailer with dry rotted tires when I could get a new one for ~2400.

Find a Big Tex trailer dealer and go look at their 70DM models. Very nice trailer. We purchased one a year ago and I can see it lasting for a long, long time. Also, they're very safe and you don't have to worry about the car you have on it. Price is about $3500 but you can put your $2000 down and finance the rest through Sheffield for a couple years. IMHO you'll be happy that you spend an extra thousand on a GREAT trailer!

You're not going to find a new steel deck for $2k. I just got done filling out a loan application for a new BigTex 18ft steel deck, $3427 after TT&L, best deal I have found for a new one.
