Typical parts bin GM vehicle shared across several brands. I doubt there's anything that would make it a bad daily. But the problem I always had with SUVs, the fuel economy is never that much better if at all then a full sized truck. I had to look it up but on GM's site it's rated at 17/24, a new Tahoe is rated at 16/23 same with the new Silverado. If fuels the concern, they're are better options.

You can buy a lot of gas for the price of a new car. As long as your LS1 is dependable you save money all the way around staying with it. Factor in car payments fuel and bump in insurance you aren't saving a thing. However if you got a woody for a new ride then that will satisfy the itch.

Yeah there power steering pumps. There ****!!! We replace them all the time and its not a cheap fix, make sure it has the correct fluid in it when you buy it. GM switched fluids due to pump failure.
