Are you asking if you lose boost with P&P? If it is done properly you will lose boost and gain HP.

Boost (pressure) is a measure of the opposition of flow. If cfm is held as a constant then a larger volume would make pressure decrease. My truck on the gate would easily spool to 10 psi almost immediately. After the turbo cam, intake, and CNC'd headsthe spool time is much slower but it makes more power.

you mean a manual? what do you mean by lose boost? if you have leaks then you will lose boost. psi isnt a number you really need to gauge your system on. optimize your combo by cutting response time, increase flow and burn efficiency. to address your concern, you will "lose" (blow off) every time you let off the throttle (i.e. between shifts). autos dont require you to lift so you dont lose boost. i had a twin 76 WS6 with a 6 liter and I powershifted bc it was a lag monster. however i killed sparkplugs, input shafts, clutches, and ended up eating a motor. three step solved all that though. anyone will tell ya manuals and boost dont go well together.
