I originally wanted a silver GMC, but when this one showed up in Beck & Masten's lot I just had to have it. I like black too, just don't like to keep them clean.

Black is definetely MUCH harder to keep clean, but they look the best when clean lol

I went and drove a Dodge RAM Ecodiesel before I bought this truck, I really wanted to like it. But I didn't. Wasn't impressed at all. GM hands down makes the best trucks. I honestly like the power that the Ford Powerstroke makes, but outside of that it's all GM.

Tuners fix all of the "power" issues with these diesels. I judge these truck when they have tuners on them. My new one feels sluggish compared to my previous 2011 Denali that had a tuner, but I'll add a tuner in 6 months and see if it'll turn out the same.

One reason could be that our trucks have "displacement on demand" (I think it's called). Where it shuts down 4 cylinders, to "improve mileage". But I tuned it out on my old '08 Sierra and checked the mileage, there was no change! Made a world of difference in throttle response, especially on the highway. I think it's just a "smoke and mirror" game that GM plays to meet certain emission requirements because there really was no improvement in mileage as a matter of fact I think I got slightly better mileage with the dod tuned out! LOL!!

thanks OP maybe next time I go to buy a truck, maybe I will be able to get a dmax so I can have a decent size TT or 5'er.

I'd like to tune my 14, seems like these transmissions don't have a clue on what gear to be in and it bugs the **** out of me. I figure it's because they're trying to be as fuel efficient as possible all the time... Just hate it sometimes.

I tell you what guys, if it weren't so cheap to maintain, I would have never bought a gasser to work out of. I've worked out of a diesel and everything was awesome... BUT the maintenance bill and fuel bill lol

If I quit my job tomorrow, I'd sell my 1500 immediately, that's how much better diesels are IMO. But, the 1500 brings in all my income lol, so it's here to stay.

That is my only complaint so far. Doesn't happen alot but sometimes. When the trans tries to downshift, it's not at the right time. I also feel this can be corrected by a good competent tuner. Kinda of a touchy subject because if GM were to find out the tune has been changed they could void the warranty.

True. GM built a great truck, but should have made sure the tunes were good through out each gear and rpm. Oh well, the work truck just ran out of dealer warranty, so I may just get her tuned to fix the problem. Seems like all the miss-shifts and hard chunks would lead to having to replace the tranny... Tune will fix that hopefully.

Yes sir! All 3 previous Dmax's had them (06, 09, 11). This one will be no different, just needs a few more miles lol only has 272 miles on her. She'll get EFI Live, 5" deleted exhaust and lift and tires. She just needs more miles lol

Who will do your EFI Live? ATP told me they don't offer tuning on the LML trucks.

[QUOTE=LS1PUNK;18498939]The new GMC's and new Chevys are really nice.

I just picked up a 15 2500 LTZ, huge differnce compared to my 13 LTZ. Quote]

I love the look of my 13 and can't seem to trade it. The body style of the new ones is growing on me, but I still don't care for the center section of the dash. I like the lay out of the gauge area, just not the center. I had a rental for 2 weeks and I could not get use to the center section. But they all are beautiful trucks.

I have noticed that you are either a Chevy or GMC person. I don't care for the looks of the GMC. I have a buddy that has a GMC, and doesn't care for the Chevy. But I do have to say, at least they are a GM product and not one of those other brands!!!!

That's incorrect sir. I had Motor Ops EFI live on my 2011, didn't have the DSP 5 switch to switch tunes on the fly, but it still ran like a sum bitch on full tilt. The Motor Ops tuner tunes LML's all the way up to 2015. You can also get PPEI Efi Live and Duramx Tuner as well. I will get a Efi Live tuner that allows for deleted tuning, thisd stupid DEF crap has got to go! I had the '11's DEF tank removed before it hit 1 month with me lol

I had a 2011 Denali HD and it was so nice! Except when I bought a 14 Sierra and the interior was nicer lol Then I just test drove my current 15 and it without question rides and feels nicer than the 2011 did. Without question though, the interiors of the Silverados and Sierras have a little bit in common, I just prefer the look and interior of the GMC's much more than those of the Silverados. I will forever buy GMC's over Chevrolets. I've owned 2 Silverados and 3 GMC and the GMC's were MUCH nicer in my opinion.
