Came outside to my truck sitting on bricks..
Never thought it would happen to me but it did. Police report filed but I'm sure they'll never find them. Anyways, I'm in need of a new set of wheels so I can get my truck off these bricks. Would like a new set of 20 or 22 inch off road wheels with some Nitto or BFG all terrains but would consider a used set in good shape. Text or call me if you have anything for sale, know anybody selling, or if you have any connections through any wheel/tire shop.

Thanks,

Wheel locks dont do much unfortunately. I can take the GM locks off with a 19mm socket and the other acorn type with like a 15mm I think. Hope insurance is helping you out man

Back in 1997 I lost the wheel key for my Z28 at the dragstrip. I hit a pot hole at high speed before replacing it and blew both tires on one side (bent one wheel). I used a 12-point socket, and a 4# hammer to get the old locking lugs off. The factory alarm didn't even go off. I didn't realize it was on until hammering on the pass rear, and then it just chirped.

Happened at my apartment complex in San Marcos. I didn't have wheel locks and they were the 20" texas edition wheels. Apparently these wheels are stolen quite often. A local dealership here in town had over 30 sets stolen off of trucks on their lot in one night.

Dude that sucks. My brother had his stolen and there were business cards of the contractor that was working across the street. Police did nothing.
I can't get so lucky for mine to come up missing. I want an aftermarket set, but wife said hell no.

Holy hell. That takes a sack to do that in a parking lot full of cars. I was fortunate to catch the retard seconds after he breaks my window and hopped in. I held that douche at gunpoint for like half an hour before the police showed up. Glad he didn't look in the console because there would have been a gunfight then.

Dam. .. the fucked up thing is you will most likely never find them. Best bet is to ask yourself where could they be selling them, keep a eye on CL,and call scrap yards. .. although they were most likely stolen with the knowledge of how much they cost and are being sold, there's still a chance some bcrackheads stole them for scrap. << I've seen this when I worked at a junk yard, it's pretty obvious when people bring in mint wheels for scrap weights. But a set of 22" aluminum wheels can fetch upward of 200 scraped... don't overlook any thing this is possibly what happend.
Now if your insurance pays you for what gm charges than consider yourself in luck because you could prolly get a dope set of wheels for what the gm ones cost,
Sorry to hear that happend
Btw while I'll agree all locking nuts can have a socket pounded over them, I will say from personal experience the ones that are smooth on outside and have a unique shape groove in them (factory style) are waaay Harder to remove.... and there are so many different variations. ..
Here's what I did when I put viper rim conversion on my RT Dakota... each 6 bolt wheel got 2 locking nuts(oe style) 2 sets both different style key. This makes it ways harder for them to be stolen because they would need 8 sockets to pound over the locking nuts, and twice the noise banging on sockets..

You should have had that dog in your avatar chained to your bumper. Your wheels would probably still be there.LOL What really sucks is in an apartment complex you likely could be telling the thiefe hello in passing on a regular basis. Those wheels are very nice looking especially on an older body truck.
